Hoplite Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Operational Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting mission-critical applications. In this role, you will leverage your programming expertise to troubleshoot, maintain, and modernize existing applications while participating in agile development cycles. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment that directly supports national security objectives.
 

Responsibilities:

• You will participate in daily scrum meetings

• You will troubleshoot complex problems and assist customers with application and system issues

• You will use your programming skills to automate and bring efficiency to client applications

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

• TS/SCI with required polygraph level clearance

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in software design and development

• Direct experience with upgrading and refining existing production applications (legacy code)

• Direct experience with Python web development

• Experience with REST API Services

• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgresSQL, etc

Desired qualifications:

• Familiar with ETL/data pipeline workflows

• Understanding of JavaScript, jQueryt/Ajax, Angular.js or React

• Experience with Linux OS

• Experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, FastAPI or Flask

• Experience with RabbitMQ message queues, Kakfa, Airflow etc

• Experience developing with Windows and Linux

• Experience with Cloud environments

• Experience with dev ops tools (gitlab, Jenkins)
