Hoplite Solutions is seeking a motivated and experienced Linux System Administrator for a small, diverse team that provides end-to-end software, systems, and network engineering services to support Integrated Discovery Operations (IDO). You will lead, evolve, and maintain a dynamic, modern DevOps architecture, often based on open-source technology and not relying on corporate baselines, to support software developers, phased system upgrades, compliance, and improvements aimed at ensuring continued execution of the IDO mission. We aim to improve availability and reliability, reduce latency, and optimize performance, while maintaining the security posture.

Mission Focus:
Design, maintain, and support operations and maintenance (O&M) activities of a large enclave comprised of various hardware, software, and network components to include server architecture, virtual machines, managed switches, NAS, VLANs, and VPNs. Develop and carry out strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture and technology with minimal impact. Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.

Technical Proficiency:
Network administration including installing, configuring, and maintaining net devices; configuring various routing protocols, troubleshooting multi-hop connectivity, throughput, and latency; setting up firewalls. Responsible for secure infrastructure and vulnerability corrections, data security, compliance, and backups and recovery. Maintain SSPs, STE/STN requirements via RMF, Netseer, SEAR logging, patching, IAVMs, McAfee, and UAM.

Responsible for user-level support, including interacting with system-savvy developers and analysts, resolving network, computer, and virtual system issues & anomalies.
Maintain enclave documentation (network diagram, system names, IP addresses, barcodes, etc.); provide monthly activity report to include system outages.

Experience deploying and maintaining nginx; system monitoring platforms like OpenVAS, Prometheus and Grafana; SELinux and FIPS
Knowledge of LatteArt/Biscotti, Netseer, SEAR logging

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience or equivalent.

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.

Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with Docker, MongoDB, and Elastic Search; Ansible and GitLab; RedHat Satellite. Working knowledge of software-defined networks.
